I'm Back

Hi RTK readers,

I missed you too! After a year and half, I have not done anything on routetokiwi blog, Facebook and Instagram now I'm back. A lot of things happened to me personally I hope you can wait, and I’ll update to you soon.

HOLIDAY

After migrated to New Zealand 3 years ago, finally last year I was able to go for holidays. Yup, not just 1. Blessed.
In March and April 2019, together with my hubby, kiddo, and mama we went to Japan. It was my second time to Japan but first to mama. We experienced 2 different seasons which were Winter in Sapporo and Spring (Cherry Blossom) in Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. I was so busy preparing for the trip hence my first reason why I take a break from blogging. I did my 2nd holiday in Penang, Malaysia in August and glamping adventure in Whanganui, New Zealand. All are great holidays and I am looking forward for more in future.

MY MAMA HAS CANCER
Little that I know that trip to Japan was my last vacation I did with mama. A couple of months after we return from Japan in April, my mama was diagnosed with cancer, Initially the doctor says it was stage 2, after serial of tests it was confirm Stage 4 Cancer. Its very difficult for me to share about this so I’ll keep this very simple. Me, hubby and kiddo were flying back to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in July/August to support my mama morally. To cut the long story short, she died in January 2020 after 6 months fighting. Al Fatihah to mama.

I JOIN 15 MINUTES EXERCISE CHALLENGE AND WIN
When I come back to New Zealand in January, I met my General Practitioner as one of the ways to heal from my grieving. I did medical check-up such as, blood test, cervical test and manual check on my breast done by the doctor. One of the things that the doctor suggest is to keep active. Fortunately, at office, they organised a 15 minutes exercise challenge for 6 weeks where everyone’s needed to log in their exercise activity daily. We can do any sort of exercises like walking, running, Zumba, dancing, at least 15 minutes a day. Sound easy? Trust me, its not. I am thankful my team encourage me to keep going and finally our team of 7 members win the 1st prize. We are getting $100 prezzy card each to shop. Wuhoo!

COVID-19 AND LOCKDOWN
This one not just me, the whole world is facing unprecedented situation where millions of people sick and died due to Corona virus Covid-19 Pandemic. The world is change unexpectedly and all of us must adapt to a new normal to staying alive. Until today there are still many people infected and die. Even though luckily in New Zealand we are already in alert level 2 and have only 8 active cases, we have not win this war yet.

I would like to thank everyone especially routetokiwi reader for your support, encouragement and comments over the 3 years. I hope you still following me and please subscribe to this blog so that you will be notified when I update this blog.
